Staff Additions – Chris Simonds & Wendy Butler

Schaeffer  Electric recently welcomed two new additions to our office staff.

Chris Simonds was hired in the Service Department as an estimator and project manager.   Chris will be ‘on the streets’ working with customers in both the residential and commercial markets and has worked in the industry for over 10 years.  He is looking forward to working with our team and will be happy to assist you with your electrical needs.  His direct phone is (314) 565-2482.

Wendy Butler also has a wealth of experience in the electrical industry and will be working with our administrative staff in both the commercial wiring and communications areas.  She will be assisting Laura Hoeing with job costing, invoicing and customer service.  Welcome Wendy.

Robert (Bob) J. Schaeffer

We were saddened to receive the news last week of the passing of Bob Schaeffer on May 4.  Bob was the 4th oldest of the 17 Schaeffer children born to Carl and Eulalia Schaeffer.  After serving in the US Navy during the Korean War, Bob joined the family company in 1955 and worked as an electrician, estimator and Service Department  Manager before retiring in 1992.  He was also a co-owner of the Company from 1969-1988.  Bob was very dedicated to the success of Schaeffer Electric and would often stop by after his retirement just to make sure that things were running smoothly.  Quick with a smile and a laugh, Bob will be missed.

There’s little doubt that, in the ongoing phase-out of inefficient incandescent lamps, the homeowner is the most uninformed, concerned and resistant of the electrical contractor’s customers.
